About me

My name is Laura. I am 25 years old and live in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire. I have recently been diagnosed with Classical Hodgkin Lymphoma Nodular Sclerosing Stage 3a. 

I have created this blog to document my cancer journey, all the good days and all the bad days! My blog is to keep my friends and family updated and to also keep my mind busy throughout this process. 

My three aims throughout my journey are;

• Cure/Treat/Beat it!!
• Raise money for Lymphoma Action and Teenage Cancer Trust.
• Continue my blog.

On my journey, I thought I should raise money, I have found Lymphoma Action so important in the beginning of my journey and with Lymphoma being the fifth most common cancer and people not knowing much about it, I thought they were a charity that needed supporting. Whilst having treatment, I will be under the young persons ward at Christies and supported by the Teenage Cancer Trust whom do such amazing work and thus I felt it was so important to raise money for them. I live at home with my amazing parents and my boyfriend and I are hoping to move into our house next year. I own a beautiful cocker spaniel called Lilly and my blog may include all these lovely people and Lilly! I enjoy travelling and cannot wait to start going on holidays next year once my treatment is over. 

My blog is an open space for people to read and comment on and I am more than happy to talk to anyone going through a similar journey or a friend/family member who is helping others to go through this.
